You nailed it on here Rick, no one will ever persuade anyone of anything with negative aimed arguments.

Only optimism will get those on your side. Yes you must have some sense of realism as well, but no one ever got far being a full time pesimist.

Now I do think that GM, Ford, and Chrysler along with with the other highly compensated (heck insanely compensated) companies and big wigs do need to true dose of realism. As they don't live in the real world in any sense, and America has let them get away with it too long. Now we see all of them sit pretty, rich, and arguing for us the realists, everyday folk, grant them billions.

Well folks before you can be a level headed optimist you also must be a realist!

My Dad and my Sister are the two best listeners I have ever met, but in a different way than your typical "lending of the ear" that most would think when they hear the phrase the best listener.

Through some family hardships lately I have witnessed both of them stop and TRULY listen, pause in life and really stop, be quiet, and listen to what our purpose is.

I've watched them stop and listen to their faith and their ultimate purpose of being, rather than listen to the everyday pulls of the real world. It is amazing to watch and each of them has become stronger because of it.

In watching them stop, listen, and then care..it shows that the little things are what we are meant to hear, process, and then act on. It's not the material things, the career paths, and all that in which we need to base our "listening" off of, but rather what your purpose is, what traits you have that can help others, a bigger purpose (religion, belief).

Both have shown the ability to stop, push anger, frustration aside, and TRULY listen.......what a refreshing quality!

In a world that shows struggles, heartache, economic woes and worries; people simply want some glimpse of happiness.....a good laugh....a easing of their spirits. This is what comics do, now if only the drive by media's outlets could figure this out and stop reporting all the downers, all the worst stuff. In reality there a lot of good people doing a lot of great things in our country, our world.......let's show that. Let's really take advantage of the "Season of Giving" that is approaching and show good uplifting things! Man that would be nice!

Great stuff!

The key to any sales job or service arena job is "listening"! You have that as #1 and that is #1-100 in approaching your sales or service environment in any industry. thoughts, Feelings, Wants, & Needs are the key things that we all must listen to on a daily basis, especially now in these changing times and changing economies, yet these things will yield us great relationships. Relationships is the primary objective to success and referrals in any up or down market place.

Man you hit the nail on the head with this one. This is why American workforce is at it's best in the morning and drops off productivity wise after lunch time.
